A little about me...

I moved down to Florida about 8 years ago to start my freshman year at UNF. I loved the big city with the small town feel. I grew up in Stafford, Va and was just ready for a change. After my freshman year I auditioned to be an NFL cheerleader with the Jacksonville Jaguars. I was not very out going at the time and the audition process really brought me out of my shell. I made it after 3 rounds of cuts and interviewing. I was honestly shocked I made it with women that had been on it for 8 plus years. I ended up continuing for another 5 years as a member of the ROAR and made cover girl for the 2012 calendar and captain in my 5th and last season. During my time with the Jags I made it in 4 calendars, 5 team posters, visited multiple military bases, and traveled to Mexico, London, Puerto Rico, Honduras, and Curacao. While I was on the ROAR I worked multiple jobs in a law office, as a trainer for JUMP PT with a program bringing physical education to private schools, babysitting, and waitressing here and there. All this while being a full time college student with internship hours in multiple elementary schools. I don't know how to be anything else besides busy. After I graduated with a degree in elementary education and finishing up my last year with the Jags, I started my first year teaching Kindergarten at an inner city school. I was told if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere, and boy were they right. I taught two years at the school with some of the best administration and colleagues I have ever met. I was sad the leave but knew I needed to move on. I started at a Charter school and switched to teaching second grade. It was a big adjustment from pee pee pants to being practically independent with the occasional drama and rolling eyes. It's insane how much they mature in those two years! It was also an adjustment for me as a teacher to have much more parent interaction, but I love it! I got married to my best friend back in December on 12-13-14. I knew that photos were a huge part of the wedding because its the moments you remember. I want to use that same passion and love with how past the little ones grow.  I really feel that with my experience in front of the camera with dancing and cheering and love of teaching really brings a different prespective to my photography.
